This collection contains personal letters, articles, reviews, and ephemera related to Davison's life and career. There are also photographs, memorabilia, and an original metal case containing books of orchestral band parts. The oversized box houses newspapers and photocopies of newspaper articles. The are photographs of jazz bands and a trip to Japan, as well as, images of Davison and his wife Anne.
The documents comprising the papers of William Walter Phelps, attorney, Congressman, investor, and minister, span the years from as early as 1845 to 1911. The bulk of the collection however is between 1870 to 1898. The papers that date back to 1846 are his fathers' tax receipts in New York City. Mr. Phelps' father was the famous and wealthy merchant John J. Phelps. The papers that document Mr. Phelps' life are written during a period in which Mr. Phelps holds highly prominent positions .
This collection contains documentation, including various publicity materials, research and writing, correspondence, photographs, and personal files, related to Wilma Dobie's involvement with jazz music and musicians as a journalist, promoter, advocate, and lifelong jazz enthusiast.
This collection primarily consists of examples of the artistic output, prints, drawings and watercolors, of artist and book illustrator Winifred Milius Lubell.
